Truth songs feature in TV series Two
songs from the band’s first full album Time O' The
Signs have featured in a TV series.
and writer Declan
Cassidy of Timesnap
Films chose Soldier On and Casualty to
feature in the opening episode of The House, broadcast
on a community TV network in Dublin. A version of Soldier
On without the vocals also featured as the series’ theme tune.
Mr Cassidy, a founder
member of the Irish Film and Television Academy, said: “In
looking for music for my tv series "The House" I
trawled through a lot of songs over a lot of hours.
Truth', so, was almost the religious experience the phrase
suggests. A rich, soulful sound with lyrics that speak
right at you, the album is a treasure trove of great songs.
When you play this album for the first time it's like that
rare but wonderful experience when you're introduced to
someone and immediately feel like you've known them forever.
“The tv series
is about interesting characters in real situations and
maybe that's why this album sits so perfectly on the soundtrack.”
One of Mr Cassidy’s
earlier films, Whatever Turns You On, won Best
Film Award at the Florence International Film Festival
